Hi there! We made it through the first day easily. What a great group! We were able to have our first Character Circle meeting, watch Rusty the counselor on the computer, label and put away all our supplies, play with the turtles, had a visit with Mr. Senitte, the principal, about our first job at school. Ask your child what their first job at school is. We also had music with Mr. Goodheart, and art with Mrs. Snyder. Whew...that's a day!
Many forms are coming home today for you to read and sign. These forms are not new to Bitterroot but are still important to read through. The packet of forms that is stapled together needs to come back TOMORROW with your child. They will earn $100 of our class fake money for each form that comes back! The most important form however is the one that explains our classroom this year. Please take the time to read this from front to back. Please keep the explanation part of this form, but return the last page that gives permission for certain things TOMORROW. It is very important to write your email address neatly and exact. I will send out a test email by Friday to see if it works.
Please check out this blog every single day. It is so important that you know what is going on daily. Plus there is often ways you can make extra cash for your child on the blog. For example, please write the phrase My child had a great first day today at the bottom of their planner by your signature. If I see it tomorrow, in your handwriting, then I will grant your child an extra $50.
Planners were given out today. They cost $3.50. Most students brought their money today, as asked on the supply list, but some forgot. I gave everyone a planner, paid or not. I am huge on character and trust, and I trust that the money for their planner will be paid by tomorrow or this Friday at the latest. We do not take checks sorry. If your child still owes the money, they wrote it in their planner. If they paid, they do not have the note. Thanks for clearing this up promptly.
Lastly, the Boys and Girls Club bus is not running this week. It will start this next Monday. The club is open, but the bus is not running. Please plan accordingly. Thanks.
