Tomorrow the kids will be running their 800 meter run for PE class. Mr. Ness has given them permission to listen to their ipods or whatever electronic music devices they choose to use while running. Music needs to be school appropriate. I have also given them the option to listen to them all day for a $500 buy in with their fake money. They will be able to listen to them throughout the day when I am not teaching directly. Cool! And, who knows I may even get out there and run with them!!!
Writing notebooks are due tomorrow. Students should have four new entries in their journal for this week. They were: Write a letter to the 1st graders pretending you are Mr. Senitte explaining lunchroom manners to them, write a letter to Rusty telling him what our class needs to work on to become a more successful team, write a letter to me telling me about how they thought the crack down day went, and tonights is to write a letter to Sgt. Fink asking him at least 7 good new questions for him to answer. I will copy and mail those off to him next week.
For a $50 bonus tonight tell your child to explain the concept of thinking the glass is half full or half empty to you. Then tell them which one you are and why. Ask them which one they are. Then write your answer in their planner for tomorrow's check in!
Graded papers came home again tonight. Please ask for them.
Have a great night!
