Wanna work in the white house?? This man did!

Hi there. Happy Thursday! Wow, this week has flown by.

Today we were fortunate enough to be invited over to Mrs. Hankin's class to listen to a very interesting guest speaker. Mr. Howard was an actual employee at the White House! Yep, the one that the president lives in. He shared his stories and knowledge about life at the White House in the days of Nixon to Clinton. He had some awesome insights to our nation's capital, and some wonderful tie ins to today's Veteran'd Day! Have your child explain to you the three pictures above and write the word SANDSTONE in their planner to earn $50 tomorrow at check in. If they can tell you why I would have you write the word SANDSTONE then write the word SOLDIER next to it and earn an extra $50. Hmmmmm....

Tomorrow is the PTA Movie Night at Bitterroot. It starts at 6 and ends at 8. Toy Story 3 is the movie being shown. Dinner will be served for $2 each (Hot dog, chips, and soda). What a great family bonding opportunity. $500 reward.

Tomorrow is the Ch. 2 math test. It is on all aspects of addition and subtraction, including algebraic problems. Go Team Erickson!

Today at CC meeting we talked about how colors are linked with moods and feelings. Ask your child what color they linked with happy. Then have them find an object in the house that color. When they are feeling sad or angry, it might help to have them sit near that object and think happy thoughts. They have also located one in the classroom for happy and for confidence. Cool.

Have a wonderful evening!
