Report cards come home tomorrow. Remember, if you have questions regarding Health Enhancement, Music, Library, Art, or Bett's classes you need to direct those to those teachers. I do not know any specifics on their grading systems and/or assignments.
Your conference times are at the side of this blog. If you do not see a * by your child's name it means that you have not confirmed the time sent home. Please let me know ASAP. If you need to change the time, you need to call the office. They handle my schedule from this point on.
Jaylon, Nicolette, Brooke, Jordan, Hunter, Zayden, Jacob, Zach, Armani, Toby, and Darrion need to bring back their October Reading Calendar. I forgot to write a reminder on yesterday's blog post so I am giving them a LAST CHANCE. If they are not in tomorrow then they will receive an F.
Jaylon, Audrey, Jordan, Jacob, Zach, Armani, Emma, Keyonna, and Darrion need to bring back their Alberta Bare Theater Permission Slip. We go this Wednesday. Buy in of a thousand dollars will be collected tomorrow! Man, that came up quick. It will be our last field trip for awhile! Wheew...we have done so much already! Lucky 4th graders!!!
We started our NE Region study today in Social Studies. We will be studying this region for about two weeks. At the end of the unit, there will be a States and Capital's test over the 11 states found in this region. Students were to bring home their workbook today that we filled out together. On page 21 is a sample map with the filled in information. I have also posted it on the side of the blog. Students will need to match the state name to its location and then they will need to match the correct capital to the correct state. If you are able, I recommend that you print empty maps off the computer and have them practice labeling the states. I would also recommend that they make some flashcards for the states and capitals, states on one side, capitals on the other. Like I said, the test will be in a couple of weeks. I will announce exact day when we get closer.
Please take time to look in the hallway during conferences at all of your child's work. They have really done a great job this quarter! Wow!
Please give your kid a special hug for me tonight and tell them again how proud I am of them for making good choices while I was gone. After you do that write the words "hug and proud" in their planner to earn an extra $50 tomorrow at check in.
