Man we are busy little kids in here. We got a ton done today. State reports are looking awesome and coming together. Now, we just need to get those creative juices growing to make the boards unique and fun. If you have magazines or a printer at home, please sit with your kids and talk about little things they could cut out or print or DRAW to add personalized touches to their board. For example, one of the areas they are working on are fascinating facts. On my board I talked about Calamity Jane and Buffalo Bill Cody. So, I went and found a little picture of them that I could glue on next to the fact. Or the climate, I found a little thermometer and umbrella to glue on. Just little things like that. You could also email me pictures and I will print them out at school. Your kids know how to capture a picture using open apple + shift + the number 4. They can slide them into a Word document and then you could email it to me or save it on a flash drive. Thanks for helping with this.
We had our second bully lesson today. Watch the video below with your child and write one of the character words that pop up in between the pictures in their planner and earn them an extra $10 tomorrow.
We also had our BUG club assembly today. Congratulations to our winners. The following students either maintained their grades or brought them up and had no D's or F's: Nicolette, Brooke, Hailey, Hunter, Keyonna, Jordan, Jacob, Zack, and Jaycee. Way to go kids! I am hoping for a lot more kids next quarter. Missing assignments are the number one downfall for grades. It is so important to turn in every single assignment in every single class, and to always do our best! Congratulations again. They got little prizes and pizza with a juice as a reward! Cool!
Kids have PE tomorrow. Please remind them to get those tennis shoes into their backpacks RIGHT NOW! :0)
January calendars are due TOMORROW.
Have a great night!
