As you will read tonight, the Red Lodge trip has been moved to next Tuesday. We are just too afraid of the rain! Mrs. Hankins and I are too sweet...and we might melt! Or...is it like the Wizard of Oz and we might die when get water on us for being evil???? Hee, Hee. Anyway, please ask your child tonight for the new permission slip. As long as they have bought in with their fake money and completed their AR tests in my reading class, they are free to go on my end. The rest is up to you. Please return the permission slips tomorrow for $100 bonus.
Tomorrow, the students will be taking their MT tribes and reservations test. They have a game in their backpacks to help them study. They have been studying it in class until now. They only need to know the reservation name and the non Indian name of the tribe (but the Indian name will be their as well.)
Ask your child to retell you the legend of the flower we learned about today. If they can tell you, write the name of the flower in their planner for a $10 bonus. What was the little boy's name? $10 What was the little boy's new name at the end of the story? $10 Have them bring in a flat stone about the size of a potato tomorrow and they will earn another $20.
Lastly, just a gentle reminder for Desi, Destiney, Jaylon, Zack, Armani, Emma, Toby, and Darrion to bring in their $2 by next Tuesday for the Red Lodge Trip. Remember, that pays for their way into the Nature Center.
