Man did we have a fun day!! It was a little windy at the first stop, but then Jeff took us up to the Nature Center Property to see a SECOND dam and it was so, so nice. He did an amazing job telling us not only about the beaver's, their dam, and lodge, but also about all the other nature we encountered. It was totally awesome (as you can see above!)
The beaver projects came in today as well. I LOVED them all. Man, they learned A LOT! I was very impressed by their projects themselves, but I was even more impressed with their explanations they did during their presentations. I heard a lot of the vocabulary words come up. They will be on display all this week and throughout conferences as well.
Darrion, Armani, and Destiny received some pretty cool mail today in class from loved ones. They were beaming!!
Report Cards come out next Tuesday. Next Wed, Thurs, and Friday are half days. Kids get out at noon each day. Parent teacher conferences are those evenings. Yay!
Tomorrow is Too Cool for Drugs Day. Kids will earn $100 if they wear their sunglasses tomorrow. Crazy sock day was a huge success today as you see above. Fun socks!! We definitely socked it to drugs!! Draw a pair of sunglasses in your child's planner and talk about why it is cool to stay away from drugs with your child to earn an extra $50 tomorrow.
Tomorrow we have our very special guest speaker. I can't wait!!!!!! We also will visit with some Senior High students that have had experience with Rimrock Foundation for drug and alcohol abuse tomorrow. It should be a great day.
