Pay It Forward...The Final Day!

Tomorrow kids can choose from the following for $1 each.

1. Bring Pillow and/or Blankie for silent reading time
2. Bring a soda or other drink of choice for silent reading time
3. Wear a hat

We have raised a lot of money already. I am so impressed and proud. I can't wait to email the Flakes tomorrow night with the total for the two classes. You will hear it read at 7:20 am on 102.9 Friday morning. We rock!!

Thanksgiving and Christmas time is coming. I can tell that the kids are already getting excited. Many kids are slipping in their work and their behavior. The talking started to come back today, and it is not going to happen. We will have Polar Express Day before Christmas break, and it will cost $1000 to buy in. There will also be a stocking stuffer/candy auction that kids can bid on little toys and candy. Money is going to have to be earned and saved to participate. They don't want to miss out on these events!

The expectations in this classroom are listed below. Please talk to your kids tonight about them. After you do, write the words I Believe in My Kid in their planner to earn an extra $50 at tomorrow's check in.
1. Raise their hand to talk to me or participate in the discussion.
2. Take care of themselves, and let me be the teacher.
3. Do their homework, without you hounding them.
4. Keep a clean work area.
5. Move when I ask them to transition not when they feel they are ready.
6. If they join a group late, they need to sit in the back instead of climbing over people to sit in the front.
7. Not to sit by people that are a negative influence.
8. Like school.

Now, that I wrote these I realize that these are also expectations I have at home for my own kid. Agree with me? Are these things that you expect at home with a little bit of a twist? If so, write the word Agree in their planner for another $50 bonus. Thanks.

Have a great night.
